I drove two hours to visit the UKs biggest B&M - I was so disappointed, it was rubbish & the trol

A WOMAN has revealed that she drove two hours to the UK’s largest B&M but was left unfortunately very disappointed.

After hearing about the viral B&M store in Bournemouth, Megan Elizabeth took her son Loki to the huge chain, but wasn’t as impressed as she had imagined.

The mother drove two hours to the mega store and then documented her trip online.

Posting on social media, after visiting the B&M at the Mallard Road Retail Park, the woman said: “We travelled two hours down to Bournemouth to the largest B&M in the UK and.. it was c**p!

“I'm not really sure what we expected - it was really big but it was just like any other B&M.”

The B&M store was crowned "the best B&M" in the country in 2022 by the chain and spans a whopping 79,000sq ft which is even bigger than a standard football pitch of 64,000 sq ft and over triple the size of the average B&M which is 22,000sq ft.

The shop employs 90 members of staff, which is a lot more than the 30 that the average shop has.

In the clip, Megan filmed the aisles of the famous store, showing off the huge variety of items - from shoes to toiletries, to homeware items and snacks.

But Megan explained that she was annoyed by the chain’s trolleys, as she noted: “We pretty much spent the whole time being electric shocked by the trolley.

“But Loki had a really good time there.”

To avoid the day out being a total waste of time, the mother continued: “We popped into Smyths and bought Loki a Bluey toy which he absolutely loves.

“We ended up going to McDonald's and having the most fun on the drive back.

“There was a really winding road which was quite difficult to drive, but we found it really funny and spent the rest of the time singing at the tops of our lungs with the most beautiful views. So overall a good day.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @me.lizabeth, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 53,400 views.

If you’re thinking about visiting this megastore, here’s everything you need to know.

The shop is the only one in the entire country to stock every single line that B&M has - a huge 19,000 - all in one place.

So while you may find a selection of lines in one shop and different selections in another, you can get them all in the Bournemouth store.

The building, a listed former bus depot, spans two floors and also has a garden centre too.

Not only is Bournemouth B&M the biggest one in the country, it is also the most visited with 500,000 customer transactions last year.

When it opened back in December 2020, shoppers were so excited to have a look inside that there were two-hour queues from the door.
