FRUSTRATED locals on a filthy "Jeremy Kyle" estate plagued by machete-wielding thugs have spoken out after two years of violence.
The Page Hall Road estate in Sheffield has become synonymous with gang crime, mass brawls, racial tensions and anti-social behaviour.
Police were forced to beef up patrols during lockdown after around 50 residents - including children - fought each other in the street.
Some officers even lived on the estate - with the desperate bid managing to lower crime rates in the area, Yorkshire Live reports.
Despite the hopeful figures, violence is still rife as thugs carrying machetes patrol the streets.
Groups of intimidating youths still skulk around the area and the streets are covered in rubbish.

Shop entrances and front doors are blocked by litter with one resident claiming "it is always dirty".
Asim, who was born in Page Hall, added: "Council does clean. But it is dirty within an hour.
"The problem is just people throwing rubbish on the ground. It's not council, it is the people."
But Yuri Andropov, who lives on the estate, believes it has got safer and even braves an evening jog to the park now.

The terrified dad was planning to leave the area two years ago as pockets of violence erupted during the pandemic.
He said after the "fight of my life" to keep him and his family safe, the battle is now won.
Yuri added: "I have started jogging in the evening. I go up to Firth park without a care in the world. I know 100 per cent I am safe and fine.
"I don't have to worry too much now and I am not under pressure to leave like I was."
A decade ago, David Blunkett warned Page Hall was a “boiling pot” waiting to spill over amid tensions between its multicultural residents.
The estate has become one of the Sheffield's most deprived areas after the decline of the steel industry.
It has become notorious for gang violence and crime - with locals previously comparing it to the "Wild West".

One resident even joked living on Page Hall was "better than having The Jeremy Kyle Show outside your front door".
The estate was also the location for Channel 4 2016 documentary Keeping up with the Khans, which focused on immigration in Sheffield.
