LOVE Island stars and Instagram models have helped make thong bikinis all the rage – but a new swimsuit by Missguided has been slammed as going too far.
The fashion company shocked customers by selling a boot-exposing swimsuit that looks like the back is made entirely of string.
Leaving nothing to the imagination is their Red Square Neck G String Thong Swimsuit, which sells for £10 despite the lack of material.
From the front, the red-coloured swimming costume looks fairly standard and features a high-leg cut.
However, if you turn around, the swimsuit features an extreme G-string fit and has two tiny criss-cross straps, making it one of the raciest on the market.
Baffled shoppers have taken to Twitter to share their shock at the flesh-exposing suit.

One uploaded a photo of the cossie, with the caption: “If this ‘swimsuit’ isn’t the definition of ‘business in the front, party in the back’ then I don’t know what is.”
Another said: “That ain't a swim suit, that's lingerie.”
And one queried: “I’m actuality quite intrigued to know if people would actually wear this.”

On the Missguided website, the description says: “a red swimsuit with square neckline, cami straps and high leg style with thong.”
It’s currently available in all sizes except for 14, and comes in three colours; red, dark green and black.
