I painted my couch pink I thought it was cool but everyone is saying the same thing

AN ENTHUSIASTIC DIYer took to social media to show off her cheap pink couch transformation – but not everyone is as excited about it as she is.

In fact, people seem less concerned that it's a bright pink couch, but are more offended by its size.

The DIYer, who goes by @stringcheese221 online, raved about how she took a "super soft" couch she scored for $80 off of Facebook Marketplace and made it into a bold focal piece.

"I wanted color," she mused.

"I'm feeling young, I'm feeling feminine, I'm feeling vibrant.

"Let's go."

The woman revealed that painting the couch didn't bring perfect results, and even showed viewers where she went a little too heavy with paint, which caused it to crack.

Regardless, she said she didn't care what other people have to say and that she is pleased with her new piece.

As she expected, not everyone was in love with the pink couch – but people were more focused on the fact that it looked like it was a part of a larger couch.

"Where's the other part of the couch," one person questioned.

"The paint looks good but $80 for one piece of a couch, girl you got ripped off," another commented.

"It looks like ur missing the other half of it," yet a third confused viewer wrote, with many more expressing the same puzzlement.

Others were worried that the paint job isn't going to last, to which the poster replied: "Time will tell."

She also confirmed that she did indeed buy a portion of a couch because that's all she needed for her apartment.

It is her apartment after all, so all that really matters is that she is content with the unique look.

On the flip side, viewers were in love with the work of another woman, who DIYed an affordable Ikea mirror and made it look like the ones sold at Anthropologie for nearly $1,000.

In fact, one person was so impressed she admitted she plans to do a similar transformation.
