A MUM has raved about a £22 cover from Amazon which has given her plain sofa a new lease of life – and has also made it child and pet proof.
Sharing incredible before-and-after photos, she uploaded snaps of her handiwork to Facebook group Extreme Budget & DIY Life Hacks.
She revealed her plain, grey sofa had been transformed with a bright, patterned design, with the cover simply tied underneath to keep it in place.
Posting about her enviable DIY skills, she wrote: “Quick cheap way to refresh the sofas or protect them from pets and kids £22 on Amazon.”
The cover, named as one of Amazon's Choice products, can fit a one to four seater sofa, ranging from £14.99 to £30.99.
There a variety of designs to choose from, including birds, bamboo, floral and twigs, and there are matching cushion covers available, which cost £5.99.

The website says the “stretchy, soft and washable” fabric is like a “new cloth for your sofa”, protecting it against dirt, insects and pets.
The woman’s tip has gone down well with fellow users, with more than 100 people liking her post.
